Equality & Diversity Overview
1. Promote understanding: We want to help people better understand our equality objectives and what our organisation aims to achieve in line with the equality requirements of the Voluntary sector.
2. Encourage feedback: We welcome input and feedback from key stakeholders and the community on our equality objectives to foster collaboration, representation, advocacy, understanding and improvement, through regular consultation.
3. Highlight equality: within the Voluntary sector, ensuring transparency and keeping stakeholders informed.
4. Enhance transparency and accountability: To increase transparency and be more accountable for our actions and outcomes.
5. Awareness and understanding: Our consultations will aim to improve understanding within the VCSE of the changes in landscape and developments related to equality within Kent.
6. Inform: The Voluntary sector on developing effective equality objectives on our equality objectives to foster partnerships, collaboration, advocacy, understanding and improvement, through regular engagement and consultation.
7. Highlight: Equality within the Voluntary sector, ensuring transparency and keeping stakeholders informed.
8. Transparency and accountability: To increase openness, through regular dialogues and be accountable for representation of communities of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds .
9. Awareness and understanding: VCSE will aim to improve understanding within the VCSE of the changes in landscape and developments related to equality within Kent. (Not sure)
We are committed to working internally and in partnership with colleagues within the Voluntary sector to make equality and diversity central and relatable to our individual and organisational, needs, practices and representation.
